Bond Leads Yup鈥檌k Language and Dance Workshop

During the First Alaskans Institute Elders & Youth Conference, ACEP鈥檚 Baxter Bond led a language and Yup'ik dance workshop.
Bond, a mechanical engineer at ACEP, is also a Yup'ik language instructor and I帽upiaq/Yup'ik dance instructor at 性欲社. The goal of the workshop was to engage Alaska Native elders and youth in a meaningful conversation about how they should approach language revitalization. The event was attended by about two dozen people. At the end of the workshop, Bond and fellow instructors taught an I帽upiaq and Yup'ik dance to the participants and audience.
