ÐÔÓûÉç does not require ACT/SAT test scores for admission to any undergraduate degree program. Test scores are not taken into consideration for ÐÔÓûÉç scholarships but a qualifying score is required for some non-ÐÔÓûÉç scholarship opportunities. In some cases, test scores may be used in lieu of placement tests for registration or class prerequisites, however alternative options are available to all students.

Please make sure to take your math placement test for proper course placement.

To be considered official, transcripts must arrive in sealed envelopes from the institution. You may also submit your transcripts electronically through a secure transcript service.

If you don't have math transfer credit (including AP), then please take the ALEKS (SAT/ACT scores can not be used for math placement). If you haven't taken the ACT/SAT, complete the ÐÔÓûÉç Writing Placement exam.

You’ll need to meet with your advisor before you are eligible to register for your classes.

We may need additional information from you to approve you for or for the Western Undergraduate Exchange program (WUE). You can find your residency status on your acceptance letter or check it at .

The priority housing application deadline is June 30 — apply before then for the most room options. First-year students 20 years old and younger are required to live on campus their first year. The ÐÔÓûÉç Honors College provides a diverse and welcoming community of high-achieving students who are interested in pursuing a rigorous academic experience, in the context of a highly interdisciplinary and supportive learning environment.  Honors students gain access to a generous scholarship program, one-on-one mentoring and advising, tailored academic programming, and unique research and experiential learning.  The Honors College also features the Climate Scholars Program, the first program of its kind in the world, offering honors students interested in climate resiliency the chance to impact climate science and policy, in Alaska and around the globe.  Students must be admitted to a ÐÔÓûÉç bachelor program and meet eligibility criteria. COVID-19 immunization

ÐÔÓûÉç does not require COVID-19 vaccinations for students, staff or faculty to attend classes or live on campus. 

Required immunizations for students living in campus housing

All newly admitted students living in campus housing must provide proof of the following immunizations, which can be uploaded to the .

  • Meningococcal (MCV4) - administered after the age of 16
  • Tetanus (Tdap, TD) - administered in the last 10 years)
  • 2 Mumps, Measles, Rubella (MMR)
  • Tuberculosis Skin Test (TB) - required with initial move in

Now that you have registered for classes, we will only be able to provide your student information to you. If you would like for your parents, guardian or another individual to have access to your information, submit a FERPA release to grant them access to some or all of your information. This includes grades, account balances and any other information related to you.

The PolarExpress card is the official ÐÔÓûÉç photo identification card used by students to access ÐÔÓûÉç facilities and to make purchases. The card includes your name, photograph and student identification number. Your PolarExpress card is how you'll access secure buildings (such as residence halls), your meal plan, bear bucks, the library and computer labs, and other activities. New fall students — Complete the , including uploading a passport-style "selfie" and a copy of a government-issued ID. Your PolarExpress card will be available to pick up at Rev-it-Up Residence Hall Move-in Day or at the Office of the Bursar at the start of the semester. You can also request your card be mailed to you — mailed cards may not arrive until after the beginning of the semester.

New Student Orientation

Start the semester off with a bang! Packed full of a mix of activities and information sessions, New Student Orientation is your connection to campus resources and a great way to meet other Nanooks. Orientation is required for most new students. Programming includes Parent and Family Orientation, Transfer Student Orientation, and Student Veteran Orientation.
