I graduated from the University of California, Davis with a B.S. in Marine and Coastal
Sciences and worked as a Junior Specialist for Dr. Anne Todgham. During my time at
UCD, I worked on various projects: groundfish surveys with the California Collaborative
Fisheries Research Program; biochemical analysis of smelt, green and white sturgeon,
and salmon; fish husbandry; Western blotting; and trawling/sampling of the Delta.
I am familiar and comfortable handling various Northern California intertidal species,
marine ground fishes, and freshwater/brackish invertebrates and fishes.
I am currently pursuing my masters under Dr. Jessica Glass. I will be a RISE-UP Fellow
with Alaska Center ICE, working on further developing the PESCA 3D-printed passive
eDNA sampler.
I enjoy gaining new experiences to help me become a well-rounded scientist.
