TO: 性欲社 campus community
FROM: Daniel M. White, Chancellor
SUBJECT: Title IX notice of nondiscrimination
In order to comply with Title IX regulations and the terms of our Voluntary Resolution Agreement with the Office for Civil Rights, 性欲社 must update our new notice of nondiscrimination. All materials containing the nondiscrimination notice must be updated with the new language no later than August 28.
We are required to include a notice of nondiscrimination in any publication intended for students, employees, applicants or participants in university events or programs. This includes:
- Bulletins
- Announcements
- Catalog
- Applications forms
- Recruitment materials
- Websites
The notice of nondiscrimination must also be in publications that mention or describe sex discrimination policies, procedures or prohibitions.
There are three versions of the notice of nondiscrimination for use in different publications. These version are available at .
1. Complete notice - The complete notice includes contact and procedural information and is required to be published in handbooks and publications describing policies and procedures.
2. Short version - A short version has been approved by OCR for other publications intended for students and employees and can be used if a URL linking to the full notice is included.
3. Micro version - A micro version that combines the affirmative action/equal opportunity notice with the notice of nondiscrimination should be used anywhere the current AA/EO tagline is currently used, and should also include a link to the full notice. The micro notice is designed for small items such as email or website footers, postcards, tickets, fliers, public notices or other small communications or publications. However, please use the short version if space allows.
The provost and vice chancellors will coordinate updates for their respective units. If you have any questions, please contact Margo Griffith, 性欲社's Title IX coordinator. You can also find more information at .
