Tickets available for 性欲社 Business Leader of Year event

Tickets are on sale for 性欲社 College of Business and Security Management's 44th Business Leader of the Year dinner and award ceremony. The 2022 event, scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at the Westmark Fairbanks Hotel鈥檚 Gold Room, will honor Joe Usibelli Jr., president of Usibelli Coal Mine. Usibelli was initially selected as the 性欲社 Business Leader of the Year in 2020, but the event was postponed due to the pandemic until it could be held safely in person.听

$1,000 grants available to student groups

Student groups and campus organizations can apply for a grant of up to $1,000 from the 性欲社 Alumni Association. The funds will support projects that identify specific needs and improve campus opportunities for current students. The application deadline is Oct. 14. If you are a student or work with a student organization, you are invited to make a request through the Last year, 性欲社AA awarded more than $13,000 to 14 student organizations. Many of the awards supported community and connectivity among students, as well as outreach.

University of Alaska Fairbanks scientists played key roles in a recently released report about the effects of climate change at dozens of long-term research sites around the world.
