ABEC Mariculture Innovation Research Fund RFP

The Alaska Blue Economy Center is soliciting proposals for applied mariculture research funding. Projects must be conducted in Alaska by University of Alaska faculty and staff who have partnered with mariculture industry stakeholders on applied research. The maximum award is $200,000. The first review of submissions will take place for proposals submitted by 11:59 p.m. (Alaska) on Monday, May 22, 2023. Subsequent submissions will be reviewed quarterly on a rolling basis until the fund has been fully awarded.

Volunteers needed forÌýReallyÌýFreeÌýMarket

ÐÔÓûÉç Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning is seeking volunteers to help with the 2023 Really Free Market. The event will be on Saturday, May 20 at the Lola Tilly parking lot. Clean, safe, usable items will be dropped off from 8-10 a.m. The market will begin at 10 a.m., with no selling, bartering or swapping. AÌývolunteer sign-up sheet will be available soon. Join faculty and staff across the University of Alaska system committed to advancing student success inside and outside the classroom. The nextÌý is scheduled for Oct. 19 and 20. Please consider participating and presenting in the nextÌýStudentÌýSuccessÌýConvening!ÌýYou can propose any type of session, but the mostÌýsuccessfulÌýsessions allow participants to engage with you or participants in Q&A or discussion, with each other in conversation, and provide attendees with concrete or actionable ideas at the end of the session.ÌýÌýby May 15, 2023.
