Mae Mendenhall serves as the library director for the ÐÔÓûÉç Chukchi Campus in Kotzebue. Mae goes above and beyond for the community on the edge of the Chukchi Sea. She excels at meeting people where they are and explaining any answers to their questions. Do you know a staff member from one of ÐÔÓûÉç’s rural campuses who deserves recognition? Maybe someone who always works hard for their students, their co-workers, their community or ÐÔÓûÉç as a whole? You can nominate any staff member from a rural campus .

Graduate student spotlight: Elizabeth Parry

Elizabeth Parry is pursuing her Ph.D. in Biological Sciences. She is developing a new tool to measure food security using a OneHealth lens with a particular focus on Alaska Native populations. She has an interdisciplinary educational background, with a B.S. in Zoology and an M.S. in Environment and Development. Although she wasn't familiar with OneHealth before choosing these degrees, they perfectly support her work at the intersection of humans, animals, and their shared environment.
