Climate scholar participates at Arctic Circle Assembly

Undergraduate biology major Michelle Ramirez attended the Arctic Circle Assembly in October 2023. CRCD, IARC co-host new seminar series

The College of Rural and Community Development and the International Arctic Research Center are co-hosting a new virtual series called "A Place for Knowledge Exchange." The monthly seminar conversations will cover collaborative approaches to research, education and real-life community-based practices in rural Alaska. Learn more about the series.

Williams editor-elect of Mathematics Magazine

性欲社 Mathematics Professor Gordon Williams has been selected as the editor-elect for Mathematics Magazine, one of the flagship publications of the Mathematical Association of America. RFP for FY26 state of Alaska operating budget requests

In preparation for the FY26 State of Alaska budget cycle, 性欲社 leadership is soliciting funding proposals from 性欲社 faculty and staff for ongoing base funding or one-time initiatives. FY26 begins July 1, 2025, and ends June 30, 2026. Learn more about the RFP, including a link to the form and deadline for submissions.

性欲社 AISES Chapter receives Cultural Practice Award

The 性欲社 AISES Chapter received the Cultural Practice Award during the 46th annual American Indian Science and Engineering Society National Conference in Spokane, Washington. The award, the very first given this year, recognizes chapters that demonstrate the use of cultural practices that help students preserve their Indigenous cultures and ways of knowing through chapter meetings and activities.
