Dear ÐÔÓûÉç faculty and staff,
Welcome to the fall semester! I hope that whether you are in Alaska or Outside, you
had a good summer, and I hope that as we end the first week of class, you are settling
into a routine.
Thank you for working so hard to ensure that our university continues to offer a world-class
education, cutting-edge research and important community service that we are known
for around the world. In some cases, this past year has allowed us to develop new
and innovative ways to do things even better than before.Ìý
As I look around the Fairbanks Troth Yeddha’ Campus and talk to those of you at our
extended learning and research sites, I am encouraged by the energy, optimism and
excitement that comes with the beginning of a new academic year.Ìý
COVID-19 is still with us, but we are committed to making this academic year as smooth
as possible. Please do your part by following COVID-19 safe practices like frequent
hand washing, physical distancing and getting vaccinated. Of course, we also have
our policies that are critical, such as the face coverings policy for all of ÐÔÓûÉç. We can all do our part to keep ourselves and each other healthy.
Thank you for your commitment to ÐÔÓûÉç and to our students.
Thank you for choosing ÐÔÓûÉç.Ìý
— Dan White, chancellor
