Pedagogical Pathways: Strategies for Student Success workshop series

Each hour-long workshop in this series introduces instructors to a foundational topic for teaching in higher education. Participants in each workshop will complete the first module in a professional microcredential on the topic, with the opportunity to enroll and complete the credential after the workshop. BLaST celebrates February 2025 Scientist of the Month

Spencer Baysinger, a third-year BLaST scholar and a junior at 性欲社 pursuing a bachelor of science degree in computer science with a minor in mathematics, is the BLaST Scientist of the Month for February 2025! Baysinger is also a 性欲社 Honors student, President of the 性欲社 National Society of Leadership and Success and a 性欲社 Residence Life resident assistant. Read more about Baysinger and his research.


On Friday, Feb. 21 at 7:30 p.m., the Circumpolar Music Series presents a winter chamber concert featuring three movements (December: Polarization, January: A Yellow Disc Rising from the Sea, February: The Arctic Circle) from Joby Talbot's "Once Around the Sun," John Luther Adams' "Dark Wind" for marimba, vibraphone, bass clarinet, and piano, Matthew Burtner's "Syntax of Snow" for glockenspiel, sine tones, and amplified snow, and poetry by Daryl Farmer and the 性欲社 Department of English.

The Borealis Bistro, a lunch service provided by the 性欲社 Community and Technical College culinary arts program, will be open to the public from Feb. 27-May 1. Learn more about the bistro.


Midnight Sun Visiting Writers Series

The Midnight Sun Visiting Writers Series brings established and emerging national and local writers to 性欲社 campus to present literary readings and discuss their work. This event on Thursday, Feb. 20 from 7-8 p.m. in the Arnold Espe Auditorium at the UA Museum of the North is open to the public. It will showcase 性欲社 alumni Sean Enfield, Zack Medlin, and H. Warren. Summer Camp registration opens on March 7

Mark your calendars. 性欲社 Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning will open registration for summer camps for pre-K-12 students on March 7 at 10 a.m. The website will be open for preview on March 1.
