Birch Dinner March 20

The听SoBear Lounge,听性欲社's Office of Sustainability, Department of Residence Lifein partnership withOneTree Alaska will host a birch-themed dinner experience at the Hess Recreation Center (MBS Residence Complex) on March 20 at 6 p.m. The menu will explore the versatility of birch syrup, and all of the syrup integrated into the meal is produced on the 性欲社 Troth Yeddha' campus in the OneTree STEAM Studio.听Birch Dinner tickets$25.听The first 50 students to听 will be admitted for free. VAWS: Fire weather in Alaska and the NWS IMET program

Fire Weather in Alaska is a team effort with a multi-agency approach used to forecast fire weather conditions across the state. This online talk on Mar. 26 from 11 a.m. to noon will focus on the NWS role of that effort and how NWS Alaska effectively utilizes the IMET (Incident Meteorologist) Program to provide on-site support for wildland firefighting efforts. Applications open: UA Teacher Internship Scholarship

The University of Alaska is providing scholarships to those interested in becoming certified teachers for Alaska. This is the third year of the UA Teacher Internship Scholarship, which covers tuition and fees at UA Schools of Education as well as a stipend of up to $10,000 to offset living expenses during the critical full-time internship.
