UAOnline & PolarExpress Card
UAOnline
UAOnline is the University of Alaska connected service that allows University of Alaska affiliates (students, faculty, staff) to manage their connection with the university system.
UAOnline allows students to view transcripts, enroll in courses, make payments, and manage financial aid.
Staff can login to view their tax information, view pay stubs, view leave time, check benefits status, retirement elections, and most employment and pay-related actions.
Faculty can submit grades for their courses, access information to advise students, approve students’ registration, and much more as well as viewing the same employment information as staff.
PolarExpress Card
The PolarExpress card is the official ÐÔÓûÉç photo identification card used by students, staff and faculty for access to ÐÔÓûÉç facilities and to make purchases. The card's magnetic stripe holds a unique key that provides secure access to residence halls, laboratories and the Student Recreation Center. You can deposit money into your Bear Bucks account, which is linked to your PolarExpress card. Bear Bucks can be used to pay for goods at all Dining Services locations, vending machines, photocopiers, the Wood Center counter and the Bookstore.
Eligibility:
Students: Once they have registered for classes.
Employees: When their employment package has been fully processed.
Visiting scholars and student interns: May apply for the ÐÔÓûÉç PolarExpress Courtesy Card. The Courtesy Card is for use by individuals who do not have a direct affiliation with ÐÔÓûÉç, who want access to library privileges or use of a Bear Bucks account.
Much like the PolarExpress card, a Courtesy Card includes a photo of the card holder, an ID and library card number. Please contact the Bursar's Office for the cost and terms and conditions.
For any additional accesses or privileges to be added to the card (as an example access to the Student Recreation Center) a written request from the department authorizing the access is necessary prior to adding to the card. If key access to a building or lab is needed, this must be specified in the letter.
For more information, go to the Office of the Bursar website.
