Alaska Classics lecture to focus on glaciology

Ever wonder what books are best for learning about glaciology in Alaska? Bruce Molnia
will offer guidance at the free Alaska Classics lecture at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug.

The event is part of the fourth annual Alaska Book Festival. Molnia is a research geologist at the United States Geological Survey department. He鈥檚 currently a research affiliate at the Prince William Sound Science Center in Cordova and an affiliate professor at the University of Idaho.
Most of his research has been in Alaska, and he鈥檚 authored, co-authored or edited more than 200 articles, abstracts, maps and books. His books include 鈥淕laciers of Alaska,鈥 鈥淕lacial-Marine Sedimentation鈥 and 鈥淎laska鈥檚 Glaciers.鈥
All Alaska Classics lectures will be held in the Schaible Auditorium on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus. For information call 474-7021.
