Bakker selected to lead 性欲社 Alumni Association

Longtime Fairbanks resident Theresa Bakker has been named the new University of Alaska Fairbanks alumni relations director. She will also serve as the executive director of the 性欲社 Alumni Association.
Before accepting her new position at 性欲社, Bakker served as the marketing and communications manager at the University of Alaska Museum of the North. She has also worked as a producer for KUAC, the public broadcasting station owned and operated by 性欲社, and as a journalist for a variety of print and broadcast media. She holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree in journalism from the University of Pennsylvania and a master of fine arts degree in creative writing from Pacific Lutheran University.
Bakker takes over for former alumni relations director Kate Ripley, who resigned in May. She will begin working at the 性欲社 Alumni Association on Sept. 10.
