Botanical artist to speak, sign books at museum event

The University of Alaska Museum of the North will host botanical artist and 性欲社 alumna Karen Stomberg for a talk and book signing on Saturday, Sept. 14, from noon to 1 p.m. at the museum on 性欲社 campus.
Stomberg will talk about the exhibition "Collected Treasures: Six Alaska Wildflowers," which is now on display in the museum's Caf茅 Gallery. A book signing will follow the talk. The event is free and open to the public.
In addition to the talk and book signing, Stomberg will demonstrate botanical illustration from 1:30-4 p.m. the same day, during the museum鈥檚 Family Day event, which begins at noon. Family Day activities are included with admission. Children 14 and under are free on Family Days, thanks to support from TOTE Maritime.
