edX joining with 2U

edX, ������’s partner for offering massive open online courses, has entered into a definitive agreement to join together with 2U, another major force in online education.

For ������, this means access to more students and expanded marketing opportunities. Together, edX and 2U will reach more than 50 million learners around the world and offer more than 3,500 online courses and programs.

“We are excited about what this means for ������,” said Owen Guthrie, ������ eCampus executive director. “It brings greater possibilities for our efforts, including access to more students, greater marketing resources and expansion of learner support.”

2U has committed to fulfill the edX mission by committing to guarantee affordability, protect the privacy of individual data for all learners, and advance access to high-quality, low-cost education.
