Intellectual property and contracts director hired

Mark Billingsley has joined the 性欲社 Office of Intellectual Property and Commercialization as the intellectual property and contracts director. He will work to protect 性欲社 inventors' intellectual property, commercialize the inventions, and assist with contract support and inventor education.

Billingsley has a bachelor鈥檚 degree in industrial engineering from the University of Florida and a law degree from Lewis and Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon. He is a member of the Alaska Bar Association and has more than five years experience as an attorney.

鈥淚鈥檓 eager to get to work helping 性欲社 inventors bring their products to the marketplace for the benefit of the inventors, 性欲社, Alaska鈥檚 economy and all of society," Billingsley said. "I鈥檒l draw from my legal and engineering backgrounds to help usher each of 性欲社鈥檚 inventions through each step of the process."

OIPC also has scheduled meetings with colleges and institutes around campus to introduce the Inventor Portal, which can be opened at . The portal's secure website lets 性欲社 inventors manage their disclosure, patenting and marketing work.
