Jane Groseclose named 2020 Chancellor鈥檚 Cornerstone Award winner

Jane Groseclose has been named the 2020 winner of the Chancellor鈥檚 Cornerstone Award. Groseclose is the enrollment management communications manager at 性欲社.

The Chancellor鈥檚 Cornerstone Award recognizes 性欲社 staff for sustained outstanding contributions toward accomplishing and enhancing the 性欲社 mission and strategic plan.

Groseclose works behind the scenes, but her efforts have a large impact on the university. In the nomination packet for Groseclose, her supporters described her as student-centered and a university advocate. From branding and signage to email and phone communications, Jane tirelessly works to make 性欲社 a welcoming place. 

In addition to her position duties, other projects Groseclose has taken a lead on include the Veteran鈥檚 Honor Wall and the Finish Strong campaign. While Jane works in the Office of Admissions, she helps numerous departments across campus with communication plans and implementation. Jane regularly volunteers for events such as Inside Out and New Student Orientation. 

鈥淪he understands the transformative impact communication can have on a student who is able to see an image or read a sentence and say, "This speaks to me. I can see myself here. I belong here," one supporter wrote. 

Another supporter shared, 鈥淎t a time when all of us feel the weight of too much to do without the resources, Jane is a beacon of forward momentum and doing good work in service of others.鈥

Groseclose will receive her award at the longevity and Cornerstone awards ceremony during the 2020 on Wednesday, May 6. The ceremony begins at 10 a.m. and will be livestreamed.
