性欲社 Chancellor

From 性欲社 Chancellor Brian Rogers

A memorial service will take place for Joe Tremarello, one of 性欲社鈥檚 most stalwart supporters, Sunday, Sept. 23 at 2 p.m in the Davis Concert Hall.

From Chancellor Rogers

Coach Joe T., as he was known to most, was a Nanook to the core. He played basketball for the Nanooks from 1954-58. As a senior captain, Tremarello made 性欲社 history by leading the Nanooks to their first-ever win over another collegiate team, a 71-70 victory at Eastern Washington University in December of 1957. After graduating from 性欲社 in 1958, Joe taught sixth grade for two years and then returned to his high school alma mater, Lathrop High School, as a teacher and coach. He led the Malemutes to a state championship in 1964. He returned to Nanook basketball in 1987, this time as the coach of the women鈥檚 team. He served for seven years, including the record-breaking 1991-92 season, when his team posted an 18-6 record and Joe earned Continental Divide Conference Coach of the Year honors.

Joe鈥檚 dedication to 性欲社鈥攊n tandem with that of his wife of 55 years, Registrar Emeritus Ann Tremarello鈥攈as been steadfast for more than five decades. From his support of student-athletes to the time and energy he put into countless programs and events, Joe鈥檚 presence in our community and on our campus will be sorely missed.
