Magical Mondays series begins June 13

Magical Mondays, a free summer series of hands-on learning adventures for kids and families, will begin June 13 at ��.

The series will be held at 7 p.m. on Mondays at the Murie Building auditorium and atrium at ��. Topics will include dance, art and natural science. These programs are made possible through support from the UA College Savings Program, �� Cooperative Extension Service and KUAC.

The summer schedule includes:

June 13 — “The Magic of Music and Dance,” by Lynn and Charley Basham
June 20 — “Yup-ik in a flash!” by Walkie Charles
June 27 — “Let’s draw!” by Jamie Smith
July 11 — “Archaeology in Alaska,” by Scott Shirar
July 18 — “Alaska mammals: Wolves and bears and marmots! Oh my!” by Aren Gunderson
July 25 — “Let’s do origami,” by Zoe Jones
Aug. 1 — “What can you do with a birch tree?” by Jan Dawe
Aug. 8 — “Real time portrait painting,” by Todd Sherman
