About 100 space scientists and researchers are expected to attend the American Geophysical
Union's Chapman Conference on Magnetosphere Dynamics from Sept. 27 to Oct. 2 at the
Westmark Fairbanks Hotel and Conference Center.
The conference will focus on Earth鈥檚 magnetospheric dynamics, including:
- dynamics of geomagnetic storms and substorms.
- the roles of reconnection in Earth鈥檚 magnetosphere.
- the new results of the Magnetospheric Multiscale mission.
Jeffrey Freymueller, with the Geophysical Institute at 性欲社, and Syun-Ich Akasofu, with 性欲社 International Arctic Research Center, are highlighted speakers at the event's banquet.
