Movie Monday features award-winning critique of Jim Crow

flyer contains same basic info as announcementThe ΠΤΣϋΙη Political Science Department and the University of Alaska Press are presenting the next entry in the documentary film series What Does It Mean To Be Free? with β€œ13th,” an exploration of Thirteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and the intersection of race, justice, and mass incarceration that it represents.

Next Monday, April 5, at 7 p.m., join us on Zoom to view and discuss this film. ΠΤΣϋΙη political scientist Brandon Boylan will provide a critical introduction and commentary.

The last presentation in this semester-long series will be Monday April 26, at 7 p.m. with β€œThe Look of Silence” (2014; directed by Joshua Oppenheimer).






Participation is free but registration is required. Everyone in and outside of the ΠΤΣϋΙη community is encouraged to participate. .
