November museum programs explore dinosaurs

The University of Alaska Museum of the North is offering hands-on programs during the month of November to explore dinosaurs.

At 鈥淔amily Day: Dinosaurs鈥 on Saturday, Nov. 21, from noon鈥4 p.m. visitors can go on a dino dig and make dinosaur tracks. There is no admission fee for children 14 and under, thanks to support from Saltchuk.

Other programs are included with admission. Early Explorers, for children five and under, meets each Friday from 10 a.m.鈥搉oon. Junior Curators, for kids six and up, is offered Saturdays from 2鈥4 p.m. The theme for Saturday, Nov. 7, is 鈥淭racks,鈥 and on Saturday, Nov. 14, visitors can learn about 鈥淯n-Dinosaurs,鈥 the ancient marine reptiles that lived during the Age of Dinosaurs.
