Run for Respect will promote violence prevention

A 5K walk and run on the Fairbanks campus at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 23, will engage community members in violence prevention programs in Fairbanks.

The Run for Respect will start and end at the 性欲社 Police Department. Check-in will begin at noon.

The Nanook Diversity and Action Center and 性欲社 Green Dot Student Action Committee are hosting the event. Proceeds will go to the action committee and the 性欲社 Resource and Advocacy Center.

Preregister by clicking . The standard cost is $20, but students and military pay $15 and youths pay $10. T-shirts will be available to the first 100 registrants.

Payment also can be submitted at the police station starting at noon before the run or during Mud Volleyball from 2-4 p.m. Friday, April 21, in the Nenana Parking Lot.
