Scientists uncover surprising facts about hibernating bears

John Blake and colleagues from Stanford University, received worldwide recognition
for research about bears which was published in the Feb. 18 issue of
Science. They that hibernating bears' body temperatures can remain relatively high even while metabolism
decreases are significant. The results have implications for treatment of stroke,
heart attack or trauma patients.
