Theatre ÐÔÓûÉç presents 'Closer'

Theatre ÐÔÓûÉç will present "Closer," a play about the complex relationships between four characters and their love interests during a five-year span.



"Closer" will run Feb. 12–21 in the Lee H. Salisbury Theatre in the Fine Arts Complex at ÐÔÓûÉç.

Ian Buoncore, a senior ÐÔÓûÉç theater student, is directing "Closer" as his thesis work. Patrick Marber, a British actor and director, wrote the play.

The performance is intended for mature audiences due to sexually explicit content. On-stage seating is limited.

Performances are at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, Feb. 12-13 and 19-20, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21.

Advance tickets are $8 for ÐÔÓûÉç students; $12 for seniors, military service members, and ÐÔÓûÉç employees; and $16 for general admission. Tickets can be purchased in advance by visiting or by calling the box office at 907-474-7751. Tickets can also be purchased at the door for an additional $2.

The Theatre and Film Department is housed within in the ÐÔÓûÉç College of Liberal Arts. The College of Liberal Arts, the largest of ÐÔÓûÉç’s academic units, comprises the arts, humanities, social sciences and language disciplines across 20 departments.
