Week鈥檚 events: 性欲社 history, colon health, Arctic mammals, string band

University of Alaska Fairbanks Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning is hosting 40
free lectures, concerts and other events this summer. Here is what鈥檚 happening during
the week ahead:
鈥 On Monday, June 24, the Down Memory Lane interview series will include a discussion
with Pete Pinney, retired 性欲社 professor of English and associate vice chancellor for
the College of Rural and Community Development. Veteran journalist Robert Hannon will
conduct the interview, which will be at 7 p.m. in the Murie Building auditorium.
鈥 On Tuesday, June 25, the Healthy Living lecture series will feature licensed colon
hydrotherapist Tonya Brown. She will present 鈥淲hat鈥檚 in Your Colon? The Connection
Between Optimal Health and the Digestive System.鈥 The lecture will be at 7 p.m. at
the Murie Building auditorium.
鈥 On Wednesday, June 26, the Discover Alaska lecture series will feature research
assistant professor Donna Hauser of the International Arctic Research Center, on 鈥淩esponses,
Risks, and Resilience of Arctic Marine Mammals in a Changing Climate.鈥 The lecture
will be at 7 p.m. at the Murie Building auditorium.
鈥 On Thursday, June 27, the Music in the Garden concert series will host the Headbolt
Heaters. Music begins at 7 p.m. in the Georgeson Botanical Garden.
