Week鈥檚 events: 性欲社 memories, sleep medicine, landslides, roots music

University of Alaska Fairbanks Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning is hosting 40 free lectures, concerts and other events this summer. Here is what鈥檚 happening during the week ahead:

鈥 On Monday, July 15, the Down Memory Lane interview series will include a discussion with Frank Soos, a 性欲社 professor of creative writing from 1986-2004. Veteran journalist Robert Hannon will conduct the interview, which will be at 7 p.m. in the Murie Building auditorium.
鈥 On Tuesday, July 16, the Healthy Living lecture series will feature doctor of osteopathic medicine Clay Triplehorn, discussing 鈥淪leep Physiology, Common Disorders and General Health.鈥 The lecture will be at 7 p.m. at the Murie Building auditorium.
鈥 On Wednesday, July 17, the Discover Alaska lecture series will feature Denny Capps, a geologist at Denali National Park and Preserve, and Sierra McLane, the director of the Murie Science and Learning Center, on 鈥淟andslides and Science Education in Denali National Park and Preserve.鈥 The lecture will be at 7 p.m. at the Murie Building auditorium.
鈥 On Thursday, July 18, the Music in the Garden concert series will host the Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival American Roots Ensemble. Music begins at 7 p.m. in the Georgeson Botanical Garden.
