Wildfire app not affiliated with the university

Employees and students across the University of Alaska system reported on Monday that they had received an email advertising an app called 鈥淲ildfire.鈥� The email had a subject line that listed the recipient鈥檚 name and said, 鈥溾€� welcome back to 性欲社!鈥� The Wildfire app is not used by the university to notify people of emergencies and is not affiliated with the university in any way.

The university鈥檚 personal safety app is called 鈥淩ave Guardian鈥� and is available on Google Play and the App Store.
