Conner named interim VCR
Laura Conner will serve as interim vice chancellor for research.

Research Professor Laura Conner has been appointed to serve as 性欲社's interim vice chancellor for research. She will start her new position on Jan. 12.
In addition to her research faculty position, Conner currently serves as associate director of the 性欲社 Geophysical Institute. She has a doctorate in ecology and evolutionary biology from the University of Arizona. Her work since earning her doctorate in 2007 has focused on education research, including science identity and interdisciplinary learning at the boundary of art and science. Her work has attracted funding from a variety of agencies, including the National Science Foundation and NASA. She has held several leadership roles at 性欲社, including faculty fellow for dual enrollment and the University of the Arctic Assembly representative for 性欲社.
Conner will serve in this interim role through June 30, 2025. 性欲社 is launching a search for a permanent vice chancellor for research.
