Hello! I grew up in Kansas where I earned a degree in Secondary Education for Communication and Theatre, as well as a Master’s in English Literature.  I also completed an Interdisciplinary minor during my undergraduate degree.  In my spare time I enjoy reading romance novels, watching Marvel movies, trying new recipes with my husband, and watching my toddler explore the world!

Finding the right path in college can feel overwhelming – whether you’re new to college, continuing on a degree path, or returning after some time away.  I am so excited to help students explore their options and develop an individual plan for success!

Trent Sutton serves as Vice Provost, Accreditation Liaison Officer, Dean of General Studies, and Director of Undergraduate Research and Scholarly Activity (URSA). Trent completed his undergraduate education (B.S.) in Fisheries and Wildlife at Michigan State University, and received a M.S. in Biological Sciences from Michigan Technological University and a Ph.D. in Fisheries Sciences from Virginia Tech. Prior to coming to ÐÔÓûÉç in 2007, Trent held faculty positions at both Lake Superior State University (1996-2001) and Purdue University (2001-2007). During his time at ÐÔÓûÉç, Trent held positions as a Professor of Fisheries Biology in the Department of Fisheries and as the Associate Dean of Academic Programs in the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences.
