Located on the West Ridge of the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus, the museum overlooks the splendor of the Alaska Range during the day and twinkling city lights at night.
Event Spaces
Enjoy exclusive use of the museum's galleries during your after-hours events. We can accommodate ‘stand-up’ receptions, small dinners, lectures and presentations.
All event facilities are wheelchair accessible and parking is free and conveniently located behind the museum. Winter plug-ins are available.
Services
Catering is available from Chartwells, which offers a wide variety of menu selections to suit any event. (Catering charges are separate and made directly to Chartwells.) Beer and wine can be served with advanced notice. Some restrictions may apply.
The Museum Store is open during your event and features a variety of items related to Alaska and the Museum collections, including books, jewelry and hand-made Alaska Native art. All proceeds support the museum programs.
Museum Attendants are on hand to ensure that your event runs smoothly. Attendants answer questions, provide security, assist with logistics and assist guests in the Museum Store.
Scheduling
Your exclusive evening event can start after the museum is closed to the public -
after 5:30
pm from September 1st through May 31st (Winter Hours).
