Apple MDM Migration
UA-owned Apple devices will be migrating from JAMF to Kandji, a new Mobile Device Management solution. Starting Nov. 11 you will have the opportunity to migrate your university-owned Apple devices to Kandji at your convenience.On Nov. 21, all remaining university-owned Apple devices that have not yet been migrated will automatically be moved to Kandji.

The University of Alaska will be ending access to Google Photos within its Google Workspace accounts on May 31, 2025, and users of Google Photos will need to find alternative storage methods by this date. This does not affect photos stored in Google Drive.

In the coming months, UA will be making changes to our Google Workspace storage policy. The changes will help us address increasing Google Workspace storage costs, optimize our digital storage solutions, and develop policies to govern that storage moving forward.
