All of our students gain practical professional experience by working on film sets, participating in main-stage productions, and interacting closely with faculty advisors and mentors.
Through teaching and production work, our department prepares students to succeed professionally in the Film and Theatre industries, while educating students across disciplines in the fundamental skills of collaboration, communication, and creativity. The 性欲社 Department of Theatre and Film provides an undergraduate BA degree in Film & Performing Arts with concentrations in Film or Theatre. We also offer minors in both Theatre and Film.
Film & Performing Arts majors take a shared core of three classes (Fundamentals of Acting, Film Set Production I, and Introduction to Production Design) and then choose a concentration in either Film or Theatre. All of our can be found under the 鈥淔LPA鈥 designator in course finder and in the 2023-2024 catalog.

At times, navigating your way through college can be tricky. That鈥檚 why we have two comprehensive academic advisors to help you out.
Our CLA Comprehensive Academic Advisors, Daniel Darrow and Grace Carroll can assist
with registration, petitions, change of major requests, and answer any number of questions
related to the college experience. Advising appointments are available in person,
via telephone, over zoom or via email.
If you are unable to find an appointment time that works for your schedule, consider
dropping by our offices on Fridays from 8 a.m.- 11 a.m. for drop-in hours. Appointments
are first come, first serve during this time frame.
