Rural Alaska Honors Institute – 30 Years
The Rural Alaska Honors Institute (RAHI) was founded at the request of the Alaska Federation of Natives (AFN) in 1983. RAHI helps prepare rural and Alaska Native high school students for academic excellence and college success. RAHI is a Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) program funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health.
The film premiered at AFN 2013 as a testament to the accomplishments of the vision of the leadership and the program’s directors over the years. RAHI has truly affected generations of Alaska Native students, and their families.
