Performance & Instruction Spaces

The Music Department boasts the impressive 900-seat Charles W. Davis Concert Hall, ideal for large events and performances. Students may reserve this hall for recording auditions and performances on a space-available basis by emailing the Concert Hall Manager, Scott S. Hansen, at sshansen2@alaska.edu. The department also includes a variety of other performance and instruction spaces, such as the 65-seat Eva McGown Room for intimate performances, state-of-the-art teaching studios, and classrooms. Additionally, numerous practice rooms are available to students, ensuring ample space for individual practice and rehearsal.

Additional Venues

Also featured are the 456-seat Lee Salisbury Theater and the KUAC public radio and television studios, providing diverse performance and broadcasting opportunities. Additionally, the Elmer E. Rasmuson Library offers extensive collections of books, periodicals, music scores, and recordings, including vinyl discs, CDs, and DVDs, all available for checkout with a Polar Express card.

Did you know?

The Davis Concert Hall and the Lee H. Salisbury Theatre are both available to those outside of 性欲社 for rental for a fee. 性欲社-affiliated users receive a discount. Both venues require a space user form. Begin the process through 25Live. There will be additional steps when reserving and renting these spaces.

Technology & Resources

Technology and resources at 性欲社 include student computer labs for composition and media projects, as well as instrument and music rental services. Students can also access audio and video recording and playback packages. These facilities ensure that students have the tools they need for a comprehensive and immersive educational experience.

Building Hours

Monday to Friday: 7 am - 10 pm
Saturday: 8 am - 11 pm
Sunday: 8 am - 5 pm

Closed on holidays and during the university hard closure period (December 24 - January 2)

 

After-Hours Access: Students can enter the building and locked rooms after hours using their Polar Express card at the swipe-card terminals. Non-music students are not permitted in these secured areas. Students should report any issues with Polar Express card access to the Music Department Admin and any unauthorized access to secured rooms to the 性欲社 Police Department.
